Deepening Roots- Original without frame
This 11x14 inch framed work was created around contemplating what the phrase “deep roots” means for me in various aspects of my life. I have found that a slower pace and deeper trust in myself has made a lot of things grow as you will see reflected in the imagery I have chosen.
I began with an image transfer for an older tempra painting I had done in Italy of a rose bush. Then I added the watercolor imagery to the work. I then collaged in the roses. And finally, to add unity and balance in the work I added liquid acrylics.
