Before You Start

To Do…

Introduction: You will need the following materials: a pencil for writing, watercolors, a paintbrush, water bucket, and watercolor paper. You will also be asked to hunt for some images online or in a magazine. I recommend anything in the BellaGrace magazine.

You are responsible for keeping notes as you go. So keep a scratch piece of paper handy as well. That will be your notes sheet for this session. You will want to write down on that page words that stand out to you, images that stand out to you, and questions you are curious about/ meaningful hunches you have as you go. This is helpful for you in pulling out and discovering themes. 

Each  activity is designed to flow into the next, I recommend pacing yourself. An activity that is writing could take you ten minutes if you are at the point of trusting the first things that come into your mind.  The creative based visual activity might take you 30- 40 minutes. Allow yourself the time you need to process accordingly. This might mean that you do one activity over a four day period. 

My biggest piece of advice is to trust the leading of the Holy Spirit and keep the conversation going throughout the day.
